The Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2023 eliminates the requirement that practitioners apply for an x-waiver through the DEA. It also eliminates the limit on the number of patients a practitioner can treat. All practitioners with a current DEA registration may now prescribe buprenorphine for Opioid Use Disorder.
