Preceptor Pharmacist Requirements

The pharmacist who supervises an intern shall be designated as the preceptor pharmacist. The preceptor pharmacist shall have practiced for at least one year immediately preceding a preceptorship. The preceptor pharmacist shall supervise not more than one full-time intern nor more than two part-time interns. One intern may be taught in each pharmacy for each 5,000 prescriptions dispensed annually and for a major fraction thereof over a multiple of 5,000.
